Waterford...Preview of the Touraneena 5k - Fri 4 June 2010

Please note that this race has been brought forward to 8pm on Friday, as the original fixture clashed with the Clare vs Waterford match in the Munster Hurling Championship at Semple Stadium.

This will be the 14th annual Touraneena 5k, and is the fifth race in the
Ger Wyley Summer Series 2010.
In 2009, this race attracted a field of
177 runners.

Touraneena is located approximately 13 miles from Dungarvan and 12 miles from Clonmel, in the
Sliabh gCua district, between the Knockmealdown and Comeragh Mountains.
It can be reached via the R671 and R672 roads, which run north-south between the N24 and N72. The village of Touraneena itself is about one mile off the main road.

See Map.

Entry fee €8 at the local community centre.

Walkers are also welcome and a special presentation of the Ann Power memorial shield will be awarded to the walker who predicts, nearest to their time, as to how long it will take them to walk the course.
